Tuscaloosa is known for good food, especially if you like BBQ! The famous Dreamland BBQ has two locations--its original "shack" and a newer restaurant.
There are numerous places to eat near the campus and hotels. "The Strip" is a two-block area next to Graves Hall with lots of places to eat (including a Publix supermarket). The downtown area--about a mile from campus--has both "college food" and fine dining.
