We have chartered University of Alabama buses to provide transportation between the Birmingham airport and Tuscaloosa on Friday the 24th and Sunday the 26th. There will be two airport pick-up times on the 24th: noon and 3:00 PM**. The bus will drop attendees off at one of the conference hotels or the conference center. On Sunday the 26th, one bus will leave Tuscaloosa (Graves Hall on the UA campus) around 12:30 PM to take attendees to the airport.
The cost is only $25 each way. Each bus can accommodate 20-25 people comfortably.
To secure one of the limited spots, you will need to email Lisa Scherff (escherff@fsu.edu) and let her know if you need a ride on Friday (12 or 3 pm) and/or Sunday. Payment (cash or check) will need to be sent to her at G114 Stone Building, 1114 W Call Street, FSU, Tallahassee, FL, 32306-4459. Checks need to be made out to NCTEAR.
**If demand warrants, we will try to secure a third trip on Friday.
We are reserving university vans and buses for free transportation between the hotels and the conference center (Friday evening) and Graves Hall (Saturday morning and afternoon and Sunday morning). In addition, we will offer a free Saturday evening shuttle between the hotels and local eating/shopping areas.
